Day 1   Arrive Kota Kinabalu / Dinner

Meet on arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon free at leisure to discover Kota Kinabalu City at your own leisure. 6.45pm, transfer to local restaurant for dinner.  After dinner, return to your hotel for overnight (D)

Day 2   Proboscis Monkeys & Fireflies River Cruise Tour

Morning free at leisure.

1430hrs, pick up from your hotel and depart Kota Kinabalu city for one and a half our drive to the wetland reserve southwest of Kota Kinabalu, passing scenic countryside dotted with paddy fields, occasional buffalos, local produce stalls by the roadside and indigenous people’s houses, and small townships. The wetland is home to the endemic, bizarre-looking Proboscis Monkeys. These tree-dwelling primates gather by the riverbank in the evening. A boat cruise into the mangrove forest gives you a good chance to spot these monkeys as they settle down for the night. Look out for other inhabitants of the wetland reserve such as the wild silver leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, crocodiles, monitor lizards, tree snakes and variety of bird species. As dusk sets in, see a magical scene unfolds before you as thousands of fireflies flicker their wings and light up like Christmas lights adorning the mangrove trees. After dinner, return to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu (B/D)

Day 3   Departure

After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
